Care Management
As The Care Management Company of Montefiore Medical Center, we have successfully handled thousands of calls in conjunction with patient care and disease management. The Contact Center works closely with the company's medical and behavioral management Nurse Case Managers - serving as the front line for dispatch to nurse triage, handling emergency calls, participating in post-event or post-discharge follow-up, scheduling and setting appointments, assisting in disease management enrollment, and performing community outreach.
Member Services
CMO's Customer Service Department provides centralized direct phone access to all members in need of assistance. Customer Service representatives are available to assist members with any issues or questions, as well as to:
- Answer questions regarding covered benefits, and assist in the fulfillment of EOB and membership materials
- Assist with claims processing and status
- Help members select a primary care, specialist or referral provider
- Resolve member inquiries including complaints, grievances and administrative appeals
Provider Services
The CMO Contact Center has a wealth of experience in supporting the needs of IPA's, PPO's and individual healthcare providers, and can:
- Verify a member's enrollment status, benefits and co-payment information
- Confirm authorization status including all medical management inquiries
- Coordinate referrals for same-day service, and check on pending or prior referrals
- Confirm claim status
- Resolve provider inquiries including complaints, grievances and administrative appeals
Marketing and Customer Service
CMO's Contact Center is well equipped to handle calls generated as a result of advertising, marketing and educational initiatives. The department has served the 1-800-MDMONTE phone center since its inception.
Help Desk Services
CMO offers support to providers in reference to the use of electronic claims processing and online claims management and provider referral software.
Physician Answering Service
CMO can provide answering services that allow patients to do everything from requesting prescription refills, and asking billing or insurance questions, to scheduling or canceling appointments, and calling for test results.
